| What is a Home Inspection |
|
Your home inspection is an independent evaluation of the condition of the house you are considering. It is important that your home inspector does not have a financial or any other interest in the house in order to give you a completely unbiased opinion. According to the State of Oregon Construction Contractor's Board, who regulate home inspectors and contractors: "Obtaining a professional home inspection is the single most important thing a buyer can do for their protection." Home Inspectors are required to be licensed by the CCB and to follow the Standards of Practice for Home Inspectors. There is a link to the Standards of Practice below.
